Both of my macs are powerpc macs. I can understand the issue on intel  
macs as I don't think flash is native yet (so it is taking the  
rosetta hit).
Maybe it isn't flash per se. I've never tried something flash that  
isn't in a web browser so the web browser may also be party to blame.
For instance, using Firefox on both windows and my ppc macs, windows  
renders flash heavy pages significantly faster than my mac. I'm  
talking about a difference that can probably be measured with a sundial.
